Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 3, 2026

Codevidence is a pre-launch company and this website is an informational site. This policy explains what limited personal data we collect through it, why, and what your choices are. It is written to be plain and specific rather than exhaustive — if anything here is unclear, email privacy@codevidence.com and a person will answer.

What we collect

The only personal data we collect is the email address you voluntarily submit through the design-partner waitlist form, along with any additional context you choose to include when you contact us directly by email.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, session replay, fingerprinting, or third-party analytics services. If server-side Netlify Analytics is enabled for this site, it produces aggregate traffic counts from server request logs; it sets no cookies and does not build profiles of individual visitors.

How we use it

We use your email address for one purpose: to contact you about Codevidence early access and the design-partner program — for example, to reply to your request, ask follow-up questions, or let you know when access is available.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Your data is handled by the small number of service providers that operate this site and our email (for example, our hosting provider and our email provider), acting on our instructions solely to deliver these communications.

Product data, once you're a customer

Everything above covers this website. Once an organization becomes a Codevidence customer, our build plugin generates compliance evidence records from your compiled code and, using configuration you control, syncs those records to your organization's Codevidence workspace — where your team, and the auditors you invite, can view, search, and export them.

An evidence record contains metadata about your code and build — a control identifier, a compiled-artifact hash, a commit SHA, a build ID, a timestamp, and a service name. It does not contain your source code, which Codevidence never reads or receives at any point. See how the build plugin works for the full technical explanation.

This product data is governed by a separate data processing agreement with each customer, not by this website's privacy policy. If you're evaluating Codevidence and want that agreement ahead of signing anything, email privacy@codevidence.com.

Data retention

We keep your email address only as long as needed to run the design-partner program. If the program ends, or if you ask us to remove you, we delete your information from our active systems within a reasonable period, subject to routine backup rotation.

Your choices

  • You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you at any time.
  • You can opt out of further contact by replying to any message from us or emailing the address below.

To make any of these requests, email privacy@codevidence.com.

Data security

We limit access to submitted email addresses to the people who need it to run the design-partner program, and we rely on reputable hosting and email providers that maintain industry-standard safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but the data we hold is deliberately minimal.

Children

This site is intended for professional audiences and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

As Codevidence moves from a pre-launch site to a live product, this policy will be revised and expanded. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
